The claim

Anyone can reach a flawless, reflective finish with the right routine.

What the evidence says

The routine pieces that work are unremarkable: consistent sun protection, hydration, and not over-exfoliating. The finish in photos is also lighting, filters, makeup, and skin type. Dermatologists interviewed by the AAD describe the healthy-skin goal as reasonable and the flawless standard as unattainable for most.

Who should skip it

People with acne, rosacea, or eczema chasing a texture their condition will not produce; the goal can drive overuse of products.

What to do instead, or as well

Sunscreen, a gentle routine, and treatment for the actual condition; skip the ten-step count.
