The gap
Regulatory decisions in one market, procedure research in another, and beauty practices with centuries of context often arrive in the same feed as product launches. The result is speed without proportion.
Our job
We report what changed, link the underlying source, grade the specific claim, name conflicts and limitations, and explain what the development can reasonably change for a reader.
Who it is for
Curious consumers, skincare professionals, clinicians who want a public-facing summary layer, historians of beauty and material culture, and anyone tired of being sold certainty.
The business we want
First: earn a repeat audience through useful work. Later: reader memberships, clearly labeled sponsorships, events, and selected tools may support the publication. Editorial ranking and evidence grades will never be sold.
Commercial rules, stated before there is any commerce
- No affiliate links. A procedure or ingredient file never earns money when you buy or book.
- Sponsorship, if it comes, is labeled at the placement and kept out of evidence grades, corrections, rankings, and the newsletter body.
- Membership, if it comes, buys tools and access, never a different verdict.
- Analytics is cookieless and aggregate: no session recording, no autocapture, no profiling of readers by skin concern. The privacy page lists exactly what is collected.
This is the founding edition. The newsletter form is provider-ready but says “preview” on every placement until a subscriber platform, double opt-in, and privacy workflow are connected. Cookieless analytics are active; no sponsorships or memberships are. Correction intake is not yet live. The coverage page shows which sources are cited and which are only watched.
